One of the most popular requests I get is for family-friendly hotels in Paris. Maybe because I’m an only child, and maybe because I don’t have kids of my own yet, I always found it hard to answer. As far as I’m concerned, a hotel is either good or it isn’t, no matter who’s traveling. But for you, I decided to do some serious research among my loyal Francophiles and find out what really makes a hotel kid-friendly. Here are the results.
🏆 The 3 winning hotels for families (the quick pick)
What should you check before booking a hotel for the family?
📍 Location and zero transfers
Kids’ patience on the metro is in short supply. Look for hotels on the main lines, so you can get anywhere quickly with as few line changes as possible.
🛏️ Large or connecting rooms
Hotel rooms in Paris are very small. A family needs space, so look for hotels with large rooms or adjoining rooms with a connecting door (connecting rooms).

How about an apartment instead of a hotel?
If the whole family is coming along, an apartment is sometimes the smartest and cheapest solution. It’s more spacious and lets you run your own schedule at your own pace.
