Site language

Francophiles Anonymous is an independent site. Most of what you read here I wrote myself, from my own trips and from what I learn about France, with help from a few guest writers. To keep the site free and running, some of the links on it are affiliate links. This page explains what that means for you.

When you click one of these links and then book a hotel, buy a ticket or reserve a tour, the company pays the site a small commission. You pay exactly the same price you would pay if you went to that site on your own.

Which companies?

  • Booking.com, for hotels, apartments and car rental.
  • Tiqets and GetYourGuide, for museum and attraction tickets, tours and cruises.
  • Omio, for trains and buses in France.
  • Classictic, for classical concerts.

How I choose what to recommend

I recommend places I have stayed at, eaten at or visited myself, or places that readers I trust have recommended to me. When I have not tried a place myself, I try to say so on the page. A commission never decides whether a place gets into an article, and many of the places I recommend have no affiliate link at all.
