Udi’s apartment on Rue Royale There’s a charming apartment just a minute’s walk from Place de la Concorde. It’s spacious (two bedrooms plus a living room, a bathroom, a separate toilet and a kitchen), stylish and well equipped. Best of all, it’s managed by a delightful host named Udi, who will take care of everything you need. The only downside is the price, which reflects the perfect location and the size of the apartment. That said, if you’re traveling as a family, it won’t feel so expensive after all.

You can find more information about the apartment if you click the button below, and if it’s available and fits your budget, grab it without thinking twice. You’ll thank me later. More information and booking

If Udi’s apartment isn’t available, feel free to check out the apartments page on my site, where you’ll find plenty of other excellent options.

Keep in mind that hotels near Place de la Concorde are fairly expensive, given the central location.

Place de la Concorde: traveler information

When is the best time to visit Place de la Concorde?

If you ask me, Place de la Concorde was made for early risers. That’s because it’s a bustling traffic circle, packed with cars for most of the day. Early in the morning, on the other hand, the traffic thins out considerably, and you can walk around the square without worrying about getting run over or dealing with unnecessary noise.

Another option is to visit the square at night and enjoy the stunning lighting on the fountains, the obelisk and the buildings around it. If you have a good camera, I promise you’ll come away with some wonderful photos.

Where is Place de la Concorde located?

Place de la Concorde in Paris is located in the 8th arrondissement, right on the border with the 1st arrondissement. To the east of the square is Rue de Rivoli and the Tuileries Garden. To the west, the Champs-Élysées begins.

How do you get to Place de la Concorde?

Place de la Concorde is a major metro hub, with 3 lines passing through it:

  • Line 1
  • Line 8
  • Line 12

If you’d rather get there by bus, here’s a list of the lines that stop right there or nearby:

24, 42, 72, 73, 84, 94.

Is it expensive to stay near Place de la Concorde in Paris?

Unfortunately, the answer is yes. This is one of the most prestigious areas in France, not far from the Louvre, the Champs-Élysées and more, and the prices reflect that. On the other hand, it’s also one of the most central areas in Paris, so in my opinion, it’s well worth paying for.

Exploring the area around Place de la Concorde

Since I used to live not far from the Champs-Élysées, I ended up exploring the area quite a bit. The result is a walking route along the Champs-Élysées (and the area immediately around it), plus a few more walking routes through other parts of the 8th arrondissement that are also well worth doing.

Restaurants near Place de la Concorde (8th arrondissement of Paris)

The area around Place de la Concorde is basically one that almost everyone who visits Paris walks through, since it includes the Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe, plus plenty of walking, shopping and other effort. After all that activity, you’ll probably want to eat something, so I’ve put together a list of recommended restaurants in the 8th arrondissement of Paris.
