A great attraction for kids and grown-ups alike, for nature lovers, for fans of a little mystery and for anyone looking for something fun and magical to do in Paris: the Aquarium de Paris.
The Aquarium de Paris is home to about 7,500 creatures, including 50 sharks, all from the waters around France. You’ll also see clownfish, sea urchins, stingrays, corals in every color and all the other gorgeous things the oceans have to offer. The aquarium has one of the largest shark tanks in France, holding 3 million liters of water. There’s also a pool where you can pet koi fish, plus a long list of activities and shows that take place every single day.
The aquarium also runs temporary exhibitions. In 2024, for example, there was a goldfish exhibition (until October) with plenty of information about these popular fish, artworks and interactive experiences. I recommend checking the aquarium’s website for the current activities.
The Aquarium de Paris is also home to the largest jellyfish exhibition in Europe (don’t say ew!), with more than 2,500 jellyfish in 15 different tanks.
The aquarium is accessible for visitors with disabilities, and you can get in with a wheelchair. There are accessible restrooms too, and some of the tours are adapted for visitors with visual or hearing impairments.
And while you’re in the area, meaning the Jardins du Trocadéro, don’t miss the gardens themselves. They’re wonderful.
Tickets for the Aquarium de Paris

Combo ticket with the Eiffel Tower: a single entry ticket to the aquarium plus a self-guided visit of the Eiffel Tower. Click here for more information.
Combo ticket with the Musée de l’Homme: entry to the aquarium plus entry to the Musée de l’Homme at the Trocadéro, just a five-minute walk away, which makes it a very convenient combination. Click here for more information.
