The 8th arrondissement of Paris is famous for the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe and the Place de la Concorde. Although it’s considered a busy tourist area, some parts of it are very pleasant to stay in, especially around Parc Monceau.
🏆 The Francophile’s top picks (in short)
The apartment near the Place de la Concorde
80 m² on Rue Royale, a few steps from the Place de la Concorde and the Concorde metro station. Two bathrooms, full air conditioning and windows onto a quiet inner courtyard.
The highest-rated apartment in the arrondissement
An apartment for a couple on Rue d’Anjou, a few minutes’ walk from the Madeleine. Its 9.3 score is the highest I found in the 8th with a meaningful number of reviews.
Suites with hotel service on the Champs-Élysées
Fraser Suites Le Claridge: a 1914 building on the avenue itself, suites with a kitchen, a 24-hour reception and daily cleaning. Especially convenient for families.
If you’re staying in the 8th, especially near Parc Monceau, don’t miss shopping for cheese, wine and pastries on Rue de Lévis, a pedestrian market street just across the border in the 17th. You can put together a perfect dinner there to take back to the apartment.

Cirque Deluxe Studio
A spacious studio with warm decor on Rue du Cirque, the little lane off Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré right next to the Élysée Palace, the home of the French president. This is the quiet end of the Champs-Élysées, the part where the avenue is still lined with gardens rather than shops. The Place de la Concorde is a few steps away, and from there you can carry on to the Jardin des Tuileries and the Louvre on foot. Keep in mind that this is a government and business district: very quiet in the evening, police on every corner, and very little street life after seven. If you want a bar downstairs, you’ll be heading to another arrondissement. I recommend it to a couple who want a really central location and a quiet night’s sleep, and don’t need a neighborhood vibe.
- At the quiet end of the Champs-Élysées, next to the Élysée Palace
- A few steps from the Place de la Concorde and the gardens of the avenue
- A government district, so very quiet in the evening

Chic Apartment St-Honoré
The apartment is on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the street with the flagship stores of the big fashion houses and, at its far end, the Élysée Palace. If shopping in Paris is high on your list, there’s no better address than this one. From here it’s a ten-minute walk to the Musée de l’Orangerie and the Louvre, and the Place de la Madeleine is about the same distance. Note two things: this is one of the most expensive areas in Paris and the prices show it, and the street is busy during shopping hours, so a bedroom facing it will hear traffic almost all day. I recommend asking for a bedroom facing the inner courtyard, and that tip matters more here than anywhere else on this list.
- On Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, in the heart of the fashion-brand district
- A ten-minute walk to the Louvre and the Orangerie
- One of the most expensive areas, and the noise during shopping hours is noticeable

appartement Paris 8
A one-bedroom apartment on Rue d’Anjou, a quiet side street a few minutes’ walk from the Église de la Madeleine, running north toward Boulevard Haussmann. The really high score, 9.3 from fifty-four reviews, is the highest I found in the 8th with a meaningful number of reviews. From here you can walk to the Madeleine, the well-known food market next to it and the luxury shops of Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. This is an apartment for a couple only, with no sofa bed, and that’s exactly what makes it comfortable: there’s no temptation to squeeze four people into a space that suits two. Keep in mind that the 8th is mostly a business and office district, which means quiet evenings but also less of a neighborhood feel on weekends.
- The highest score in the arrondissement with a meaningful number of reviews
- A walk to the Madeleine and Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré
- A business district, fairly quiet on weekends

Cosy Appart Paris 8e champs elysees Miromesnil
A one-bedroom apartment on Rue de Miromesnil, on the seam between the Champs-Élysées area and the quieter neighborhoods to its north. The Miromesnil metro station is right at the door, with two lines that take you straight to the center and to Montmartre. The score of 8.4 from fifty-eight reviews shows reasonable consistency over time. This is also an apartment for a couple, with a bedroom separate from the living room, which makes all the difference over several nights compared with an open studio. Note that this listing only has photos in portrait format, so the photo on the card shows only part of the frame.
- The Miromesnil metro station right at the door
- A separate bedroom, not an open studio
- Portrait-format photos only
Apartments for up to 4 people

Romantisme Champs Elysees
A stylish apartment at the western end of the 8th, a short walk from the Champs-Élysées and from Place Charles-de-Gaulle, better known by its old name, the Étoile, where twelve avenues fan out around the Arc de Triomphe. The decor here leans toward luxurious and ornate, which is exactly the language of the neighborhood. What’s worth knowing before booking anywhere in this area: it’s built for business, embassies and shopping, not for everyday life. Grocery stores, neighborhood bakeries and reasonably priced restaurants are rare here, and you’ll often find yourselves heading to another arrondissement for dinner. I recommend it to a couple coming for a few nights who plan to eat out anyway.
- A short walk from the avenue and the Étoile
- Luxurious decor, suited to couples
- An expensive area, with very few neighborhood groceries and restaurants
Apartments for 5 guests or more

MULTIRESIDENCE L’ELYSEE
An apartment that comfortably sleeps five, on a street that connects directly to the Champs-Élysées. For a family that wants to be in the heart of the 8th without paying suite prices, this is the balance point. All around you is everything the arrondissement has to offer: the avenue itself, the Arc de Triomphe, the Grand Palais, and metro line 1, which takes you straight to the Louvre and the Marais without changing. I covered the rest of the area on my page about the attractions of the 8th arrondissement. Note that this is a residence, not a hotel: there’s no concierge and no room service, and the service ends with handing over the keys. I recommend it to a family who can manage on their own and would rather have a kitchen than a lobby.
- Sleeps five comfortably in a very central location
- On a street that connects directly to the Champs-Élysées
- A residence without full hotel services

Bridgestreet
Twenty-nine apartments spread over several buildings in the Champs-Élysées area: Rue de Berri, Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Rue d’Artois, Rue Copernic and more. All of them are renovated, with modern furniture, parquet floors, air conditioning and large windows. The studios are 25 to 30 m² and the apartments 50 to 60 m², there’s a washing machine and a dishwasher, and weekly cleaning is included. And here’s the drawback that has to be said out loud, because it isn’t spelled out anywhere: the specific apartment is assigned only about a week before arrival, so until then you won’t know which building or which street you’ll be staying on. There’s also no reception desk, and the keys are picked up from a key box at a separate address. I recommend it only to people who are truly flexible and aren’t building their plans around the address.
- Renovated apartments with air conditioning, parquet floors and large windows
- Weekly cleaning at no extra charge
- You don’t know which building you’ll stay in until a week before arrival

Fraser Suites Le Claridge
At 74 Avenue des Champs-Élysées stands a building from 1914 whose facade is protected by law, with 135 suites and apartments from 35 to 170 m². Each one has its own equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, a marble bathroom, air conditioning and soundproofing, and the inner courtyard itself is listed as a historic monument. Édith Piaf, Marlene Dietrich, Ella Fitzgerald and Ray Charles all stayed here in their day, and you can still feel it. There’s a 24-hour reception, daily cleaning, a gym, a breakfast buffet and free baby cots. The George V and Franklin D. Roosevelt metro stations on line 1 are minutes away. Note that the price is a five-star price on the most expensive avenue in the world, and there’s no parking on site. I recommend a suite facing the courtyard rather than the avenue, unless the view is exactly what you came for.
- 135 suites from 35 to 170 m², on the avenue itself
- 24-hour reception, daily cleaning, a gym and free baby cots
- Five-star prices on the Champs-Élysées

AH FACE Pretty Apartment
A 68 m² apartment on Rue Arsène Houssaye with three bedrooms that can sleep six, about 330 yards from the Arc de Triomphe and about half an hour’s walk from the Église de la Madeleine. It has a kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven, a washing machine, air conditioning and a smart TV, and the building has an elevator. Picking up the keys is simple and quick, which isn’t a given with apartments of this kind. And here’s the main reservation, a very practical one: there’s only one bathroom for three bedrooms and six people. A family getting ready to go out in the morning will feel it all day. I recommend it to a group of adults or to two families who don’t all leave at eight in the morning at the same time.
- Three bedrooms for six guests, with an elevator
- About 330 yards from the Arc de Triomphe
- Only one bathroom for six people
Are all the apartments you liked in the 8th taken?
The 8th arrondissement is in high demand because of its central location, so here are a few more options:
- For a wider list, find me every available apartment in the 8th.
- It’s also worth checking the hotels in the 8th arrondissement: some of the best (and most expensive) hotels in the city are here.
- If you’re flexible, go back to the recommended apartments in Paris page and pick a neighboring arrondissement (like the 17th or the 9th).
- Still undecided? My guide to where to stay in Paris will help you choose.
